You Can Help by Donating Your Gently Used Furniture and Household Items.

Please read before considering donating:

1.

As newcomer families settle into small spaces and our warehouse storage is limited, we must be selective about what we accept.

2.

All donations must be new or gently used, and they should be free from stains, tears, odours, or damage. This ensures the items are in good condition for those in need.

3.

We do not offer pick-up service, but we can refer you to a company that does. This allows you to still donate even if you cannot transport the items yourself.

4.

We accept donations of furniture and housewares by appointment during volunteer shifts on Wednesday afternoons, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

5.

If donated furniture remains in the warehouse for over six months, it may be redirected to other organizations in Guelph.

Donation Outline

Items We Need.

Apartment sized sofas, love seats, and armchairs.

Coffee tables

Beds - Queen, double, twin, and bunk bed frames and box springs (no mattresses)

Dressers

Night tables

Kitchen and dining room tables

Chairs (kitchen, dining, and office)

Student desks

Bookcases

Benches (for entryway)

Small appliances (toasters, coffee makers, kettles, irons)

Lamps

Area rugs and carpets

New or very gently used kitchen and bath towels

Dish sets

Serving dishes and bowls

Mops, brooms, dustpans, vacuum cleaners

Sewing machines and notions

Ironing boards and covers

Linens

If you are a sponsored newcomer family who has recently arrived in Canada and is moving into a new home we are here to help you. Please complete this form to request an appointment at the Circle Home Furniture Bank.

Please note the following:

Once you have completed the form, we will reach out with a phone call to connect and schedule an appointment.
Please note that you will need a confirmed appointment at the warehouse before arriving.
We are not able to provide delivery for your items so you will need to coordinate a truck to pickup the items if required.
If language is a barrier, please have an interpreter accompany you to the warehouse.
Passionate volunteers run our warehouse and we are happy to help you and welcome you!
